Re: Laecaons New Place!

Had some remnants of wood laying around here. Made a shelf. For now my cordless tools are sitting on it, but that is temporary.

I really need to run electricity in the garage too. And too bad it's on a 15A breaker.

Re: Jacob's More Newer "Wagon"

I should mention. While it was being worked on. I got to drive my moms brand new Mercedes. The windows on that are not tinted. I was amazed by how much heat was hitting the side of my face from the sun. I have been driving a tinted window car for the last 6 years. It makes a huge difference.

Re: Jacob's More Newer "Wagon"

I totally forgot. I got the windows tinted back in February. 25% all around. Ceramic. 3M brand. Supposedly 99%UV rejection, and 59% solar heat rejection. Ceramic is supposedly like 3-5X better at heat rejection than non ceramic. Well with summer here, I got more done. Had the sunroof tinted in 80% C...

The thing I figured out. Everyone in my parents generation remembers there parents owning one, or learning to drive on one. They love seeing them on the road.

S13 is in fact a electric sender. Not mechanical. My CA speed sensor is electric.

Re: Wynona the wagon's resurrection!

Um yea. Nissan used the same transmission behind everything, sans the higher power stuff. RWD CA/KA/SR/VGe all got the same transmission. So S13/14 kids are a good source too.

Re: Wynona the wagon's resurrection!

Hmm. I have a speed sensor... But I think the wires were cutoff flush. I dont remember seeing in the wiring diagrams of it actually going to the ECU... Of course this is a CA Im talking about... Ill have to look again. Thanks for posting all of this. CA and RB are so similar.

Re: Jacob's other Wagon

So this car got pushed to the back burner. Still dating a girl, got a new car, moved twice, and lent it out to a friend for a bit. But I guess its time to sell it... but I kinda really like it still... sigh. So first up on the chopping block. I messed up the front bumper again. Like 6 months after I...

Yea, Ive heard about some weirdness with these TPS units. I have to deal with it on the CA. Especially since I changed it over to a KA throttle body.

Re: Blue’s pad

I installed an Ecobee Smart Thermostat.(dunno why I never posted about it). It was $100 due to the Energy Trust of Oregon. Yea, getting the log is cool. Changing settings from the phone is nice too. Definitely a nice simple upgrade.

I think either way would have been a good choice.

How nice is the carpet? I have the carpet that 71Dimer was selling, but it is just Home Depot indoor/outdoor carpet.

Re: Laecaons New Place!

At my house, the driveway is anything but flat. So it wont be going outside here. But to the front of the garage? maybe. But that is a pretty nice idea for the casters, I was trying to think if I wanted to do anything else to mount the wheels... like take some 1/4" steel plate to screw onto the bott...

Re: Laecaons New Place!

I managed to mostly finish my work bench yesterday. Still need to cut 1 more sheet for the lower shelf. I have no energy today. Anyways, here it is Upside down, you can see where I installed the simpson ties. Also, these are 4" casters, the brake locks the wheel from spinning and from the caster fro...

And here is a bunch of that lumber I mentioned all cut up! I need to go buy some simpson ties. I dont do pocket holes for screws unless really needed. Tried to do this yesterday. Bought a 3ft instead of 4ft shelf piece... returned that today. Did other things... Anyways something simple, MORE SHELVES! Probably just use these for long term lightweight stuff. https://p4dunq.ch.files.1drv.com/y4mEns0rGdmVIKtRnkUoh3rrGZ-9BT70KOgctg9f92WFNCiOfhYNp3aD4W...

Re: Wynona the wagon's resurrection!

My guess, the CA18DET PS pump would bolt on. But the RB25/KA being a hint newer, they updated the design.
