Nice to see I am not the only one that uses Delo 15-40w in my rigs. Its plentiful for me at work, couple of 50 gallon drums of it in the shop. Gets a little thick in the North Dakota winters but, never had any problems!

So I'm gonna be buying drop spindles within the next month some time, and I'm aware I'll need another alignment after this, and I'm also aware that an alignment is basically a waste of money with warn suspension parts so what all should I replace?
I plan on buying lower ball joints(uppers were just replaced) and inner/outter tie rod ends, and holding onto them until putting drop spindles on and do it all at once then get it aligned. Is there anything else I should do while I'm at it?

Tension control rod bushings. Idler arm if possible.

Also I didn't realize how long it's been since I've posted an update here.
Just reindexed my torsion bars the other day, and have the rear dropped on 4" blocks and one lead pulled.
That's my suspension set up for now.
Drop spindles soon, and after that either 720 4x4 leafs, or bell tech drop leafs and a smaller block, and a c notch this summer since I won't have to drive it to school, I can have it all tore apart for a few days and just walk to work.

I'm sure hoping so! Just need to decide what tire I want and if I want spacers or not.. I got lucky though, I've been wanting some of these for awhile and found some for super cheap

Update on my truck..
I got 4x4 leafs! Was gonna get drop leafs but Wayno told me not to waste my time on those and get the 4x4 leafs instead, I disagreed with him and said I want the extra drop of the drop leafs, then like always went home, thought about what he said and realized he's probably right, 4x4 leafs will do plenty and it's nice being stiffer.


Also we slammed my brothers 620, bout the same time as installed my new springs.


And then I got a killer deal on some Titan wheels! Still need two more tires, picking them up tomorrow..


And now I've got some sr5 wheels laying around, so why not throw them on my brothers 620 until I have a purpose for them?!
When I get my other two Titan wheels on I'll throw the yota wheels on the 620 and take it out of the garage and take better pictures.

Also just got that 620 running, it needed a thermostat housing bolt redrilled and threads tapped in, and I fucked that up beyond repair, so Wayne sold me a new t stat housing, so me and my brother put it all back together and it's running good, he will make a thread soon I'm sure.
Man that had to be the 100'th time Wayno saved my ass, thanks again Wayne!

That's why I put that flat cross member in mine, but I also did a full depth frame notch, but I had to cut holes in the bed because of that.
I can go lower, but then I drag going in and out of my driveway, I didn't like that, so I raised it just enough not to drag, to get it any lower I would have to do a body drop, that is not something that is going to happen, to much work, and I would have to cut a hole in the hood to clearance the valve cover, and I will not do that either.
How far are your lower shock mounts off the ground?
You likely will need to find some 1968-73 510 wagon lower shock mounts/leaf plates now to get some ground clearance.

Something you need to think about when using drop spindles is that you will need to use 15 inch wheels, but maybe you already have them as the ones on your truck are not stock.
I can weld, but I really don't know how to weld that well, I always over build what I weld so it will not break, but a half frame notch is not something that I am willing to do, there is not a real easy way to over build a half notch, it has to be done right to start with.
I would never do a half notch on my frame, I would be afraid it would break.
If your center cross member is dragging, then the lower shock mounts must almost be on the ground also, and so would the front leaf mount, likely less than 2 inches clearance.

BTW, I know you say you just want to do a small "C" notch to get some suspension travel, but when you find some drop spindles, you will want to get the rear lower by the same amount, you will then only have a quarter inch clearance again, you need to do whatever "C" notch you need for the future, why do it twice.
