my car is almost completely black...I don't know how to feel about it. I really really love the color blue. only have the hood, the passenger door and passenger front fender left to paint. I'm keeping the yellow drivers door yellow. I just really like it. Kinda not sure why I'm still working on the body. I'd be better off with a body with less cancer. I don't fucking know.
Poooooooooooooooooooop
I don't know what is wrong. We haven't gotten into it yet. Im sad and depressed. Walt is so awesome though, getting up at 445am to take me to work. Unfortunately that's where our schedules divide and I have to take an hour and 45min bus ride home or bum a ride from a coworker. This fucking blows.
Did compression test and the numbers were great. Top of pistons have no damage. No water where it shouldn't be. The little window in the carburetor says normal amount of gas. Once the engine is warmed up it sounds normal. The smoke stopped after a few minutes of idling. Shut it off for a few minutes then went to park it back in my parking spot and it started with the smoke again. Walter thinks the smoke smells a little like antifreeze. I'll post a little video of the smoke in a few minutes.
It's really cold out. Cars emit a smoke when cold. it stops when they are warmed up usually. Sometimes there's condensation in the exhaust system that steams too.
Are you sure it's smoke? You run coolant right. If so, it will have a sweet smell. Stick your hand over the exhaust and let it get your hand wet and smell it.
Maybe valve seats? When the motor heats up they shrink. when it cools down they expand (i think). maybe they are expanding enough to let a little oil seep past? If you aren't losing any water then its hard to think its a head gasket. But then again it doesn't take much. a few drops. Did you look at the pistons? Are they super clean all of them, or just one of them or what....

I am aware of what happens to exhaust it's cold outside. It's definitely smoke. The video doesn't do justice to how Smokey it is. After more thought Walter thinks I may have a stuck ring. I just dumped half a quart of marvel in my oil. And I'm sitting here idling.
When you start it it smokes like a motherfucker. Then after about 2minutes it stops smoking.

I don't know A engines real well but do the valve guide seals go out like on L engines?
Walter thinks it smells like antifreeze I think it smells a little like gas.
Idled about 20minutes after adding marvel, turned it off and waited about 5 minutes. Started it up and It smoked really bad for about 1 minute then stopped smoking. I'd say that's an improvement
