I called them today and talked to a guy about it, sometimes I worry about places that talk like it's not biggie, that they do them all the time.
I will likely pull it tomorrow or the next day when it is pouring rain and send it off to them. :)
I hope this turns out alright.
The thing is that I bought a weber setup for it a couple weeks back, but I have another place I can put that setup, so it was not a waste of money.

I pulled the carb off today and sent it up to Carbs unlimited, I hope it turns out, sometimes I get a feeling about things, I believe I am still neutral, one thing I didn't like was being put on hold, after 10 minutes I hung up, waited for 15 minutes, and then called again and had my question answered right away, but them 10 cellphone minutes are gone. :(

I'd be confident they can rebuild it.

I would suspect if there were any issues after rebuild, it would be the carb itself is just worn out. the shafts and such.

Love seeing your 320's at Canby love the dedication and work you put Into your vehicles I just went threw the whole thread keep it up Wayno. I don't know if you ever checked out any chrome plating places in Oregon but I know there's one good reputable one here in Medford that still does it the old way I remember seeing there commercial pop up when my gf was watching the local news. I can't recall the name but if your still interest in it I can find out for ya.

I bet scooter stuff on ratsun would also have some good chrome recommendations. He works at a shop that does high end restorations.

I have not had a lot of luck with platers, first I went with Oregon plating back in the 90s, they were expensive and I finally had to go get half my un-touched parts back so I could put the car back together, the rest of them turned out great, except they were only dual plated, the chrome didn't last.

Then I went with a Ratsun member called fixer/shaggy, I got screwed by that guy, the only thing that turned out decent was the bumpers, the rest was never finished, or was totally crap work, he even broke a very rare hard to find part and blamed it on shipping, when I asked for the before shipment photos I told him to take before shipping, he could not produce them.
Well one day I got an email from a member that has dealt a lot in 320 parts, she said she had got a call from this guy named Andrew asking for parts for a NL320 taillight bezel, she referred him to me, I would have given a lot of money to see his face when the person he called for parts was telling him to call me about getting parts for a broken taillight bezel, it was my bezel he broke.
To get the rest/all my parts back from that guy, I had to threaten him with starting a thread on Ratsun with all the correspondence I had from him with dates and such, I finally got my very rare taillight bezel reflectors back from him a month or two later when he finally found them.

The last place I went was that star bright finishes/plating in Oregon City, the only thing that turned out right there was the hubcaps, the rest was not the right shape, or they were not able to fix what they said they could fix, I suppose if one was to take a part there that all it needed was plating, it might turn out alright, but one should leave themselves a 2 month buffer, as these guys didn't get all the stuff done till 2 months after Canby.
I had to bend the rear bumper to get it to fit my car, and I offered to bring them a fiberglass one that was the proper shape, and the guy declined saying he had it covered.
I gave these folks almost $4000.00 and got 8 decent hubcaps and a couple other small parts that turned out alright, the rest needs to be redone for one reason or another.

I would like to have more plating done, but I have decided that maybe I should just work on the U320 body for now, I am going to have to remove the interior, and get ready to bend the door hinge pillar out at the top hinge at least an inch, I will have to remove the door, windshield, and dash to do this.
After that I guess the body work will need to start, I just had so many other things to do lately, working, I put a roof on, then I re-lined the front fish pond which I am still messing with that, making a sawmill scene, I just have not done much to Datsuns except trying to keep them running.

I sent the carb out to be rebuilt a couple 3 months ago, I kept getting calls about their progress(none), they could not find a gasket kit for the carb, so in the end I sent them one I had.
I already knew that it was not going to look new when I sent it, here it is fresh out of the box.

I installed it and it runs better than it ever has before, I didn't drive it, but it has to be better than what I had, as it started easily and revved normally(never revved normally before), but having one of them fuel pumps with a primer on it helps, I just pumped on it till the bowl was full, pulled the choke on and hit the starter and it started right up.
I was beginning to think they all ran like crap when even new. lol
So now it is all put back together with the filter complete, one of these days I need to start getting the outside body work started, I just wanted it to run properly, and it took a long time to find someone to rebuild the carb that I felt comfortable sending it to.
It cost me $241.00 with tax shipped back to me with a 6 month warranty.
Here is it installed.
Image
And here it is all back together.
Image
They did a good job I think, it was worth the money just to hear it run properly.

No, I worked today and then installed door locks on the 1970 project when I got home.
At this time, this truck has no bumpers or grill, I took them off because it is sitting on the side of the house under an awning, and the chrome plating they do these days rusts fairly quickly.
I also sent them another carb from the 320 in the back after I talked to them on the phone.

I removed the rear bumpers and chrome taillight assemblies off of this U320 and the NL320 yesterday, I am likely going to leave the front bumpers on because they don't get wet where they are, but the backs of both of them do get wet.
Here is everything inside and safe for the winter.

And here are the fresh chromed taillight bezels/valance pieces that will go onto the U320 next year when it dries out.

One of these days I will need to get started on the restoration of this vehicle while I still have money, as one day I will not be able to work(pressure wash) anymore, at least full time, and then I will not have money to throw around anymore.

If these trucks were kept inside, I would not remove the parts, but they are outside under a tarp stretched from the house to the fence.

Actually it was Clauss Studios in Hesperia, CA.

There have been so many false starts on this, I have an email from him saying that he doesn't do lenses anymore from 2 or 3 years ago, but he finally made another set of molds that he is happy with I guess.
