Lol. Thought you were the smarter guy...doubt it'll actually happen, with the wife starting a new job were broke as fuck. But was thinking about going down to sherwood this weekend to see a friend and look at the 200 in the yard. Then driven said it still had front struts and the rear discs...want spare discs more, but if the struts were useful for more than just brakes I'd like them too lol. No point if it's just brakes though, tired l20 with Weber hooked up to an automatic ain't gonna go fast enough to need em lol

It's in almost the last row on the left. last car in the row up against the fence. White. Hope that makes it easier to find.

So I'm starting to think I'm blind and dumb, instead of blind or dumb. Trying to take my window crank handles off, there's no clip, tried the rag trick and didn't feel it catch, tried with a paper towel and it didn't even put a hole in it...is this another of those 710 specific oddball shits? Or am I royally missing something?

There's a big plastic "washer" protecting the door panel from the window crank. It's a lot harder to get at the clip, but it's the same as most Datsun clips. I use a straightened out paper clip, with a tight J bend at the end, to hook onto one side of the clip. And use a putty knife or something to see inbetween the plastic washer and the window crank.

Well, I was doing it on the one I have for parts. The door panel was half destroyed so I took it off, giving me wiggle room with that washer to see down. I can see the notches where the clip should be, could get a small flathead to catch on the notches, but I see no clip. Checked 2 doors on both goons and didn't see a clip on any of them. No loop to catch, no legs to push, just the notches. Which is why I'm thinking I'm blind. I'll recheck again tomorrow. Gotta be something in missing.

Check behind the handle for a pinch/jam type allen type screw, maybe they are aftermarket levers that are held on differently.

Weird .. both my 710s are 74-75 .. it wouldn't surprise me if the later 710s have something different. Redbanner / Jassifrass / Datzenmike all have late 710s.

Checked the main one I was working on again. Had my wife look too. No clip, no screws, just the two slots where a clip should be on either side. Only thing I can think of is its rusted on the inside. But even that I'm iffy on cause if there was that much rust on it I'd think I'd see a little on the outside, and that it would pop off before the handle bent

I wish you were here to see it. The angle is at isn't conducive to taking pictures, but I found a 710 guy on fb that sent me a picture of his pulled off the car with the clip back on it. I'll have to check the other doors, but the one I was working on doesn't have one. There's no way even my dumb ass could miss it. I think it may be aftermarket cause it's slightly different from the other three, still doesn't explain why there's slots for a clip, no clip, and it won't budge. Between this and breaking two shovels today...it's not been my day lol

Pulled the other sides fender off. Not in as good of shape as the other one. That's OK though. The passenger fender on the other one looks pretty good, and most of the rough spots on this one are hidden at the bottom and under the car if I just keep this one on

Yeah, other side was really clean, this one dumped a pile of dirt on the ground lol.it actually is worse than the picture shows, it's bubbled and crunchy as fuck all along there.I'll get it washed and sanded down at a later date and decide then if I'll rock it. May actually pull the fenders off the other car and check them out, the drivers side one is crumpled but the passenger side looks to just be dented. May put the fucked up ones on for now, and save the others for when I have clean doors and hatch.planning on tucking the other car in the back of the garage for later, as it has no rust holes in the body, and eventually getting it down to see if I'm up to doing a full on resto while I tinker and toy with my many others lol. Don't wanna scrap it, but I also know the one I have will rust away eventually, would be nice to have a fairly clean body to just swap all the goodies onto

In other news, I fucking hate the po of my house, and wanna slowly burn anyone that puts down that weed barrier shit and then plants creepers all around it. I'm starting to think that anywhere they didn't intentionally plant shit has it, and everything's roots have gone underneath it. Makes for a bear of a time getting all this shit dug up

That weed barrier shit sucks.. I used it. It.. kinda works.. but I get tons of weeds that just blast right through it like no big thing.. It stops grass mainly.. but everything with a tap root.. forget about it.

The PO of my house used green astroturf... I pull that shit up from literally the middle of my lawn... lol wtf.

Yeah...it wouldn't be so problematic if they hadn't planted blackberries. And ivy. And holly. And a few other creepers I've yet to identify. I'm literally chasing root systems for yards underground
