Re: Gray Man, Inc.

By all means continue posting. I just know that down here termites and powder post beetles can wreak havoc on untreated wood. Your climate is different and I didn’t know if they were really a problem there. And I am nowhere near a builder or contractor, just stuff I’ve picked up along the way. In al...

Re: Gray Man, Inc.

Nice. Good idea on the insulation. When I enclosed a back porch at my last house I installed chicken wire on the bottom of the joists and laid the insulation in.

Is that wood treated or is that something you’ll do afterwards? Do y’all have to deal with termites up there?

Re: Gray Man, Inc.

Oh man. Something’s going on. You’ve probably already said what and I just forgot. And, I love the snow. Much better than the tornadoes we got down here last night.

Organization always takes me longer than I think it should and keeping surfaces clear is a major problem. Feels good to get that stuff done.

Re: Around Waynos house

Negative. I did not let the telescope acclimate to the outside temperature. Also I have pretty decent light pollution at my house so that probably didn’t help either. I know what you’re saying about the heat waviness stuff and the edges were blurry so that is probably what was going on with that. I ...

Re: Around Waynos house

Yes it’s essentially just like that. Although mine is on an irrelevant tripod. But like I said, I couldn’t get a good focus on it with the two lenses that I had.

Re: Around Waynos house

Yeah I didn’t have that detail either. That was about how it looked. A bluish color. I could see spots but I didn’t see the big one. I honestly couldn’t say if it is refractive or reflective. I’m assuming reflective since the eyepiece is looking into the side of the tube and not the end. It’s suppos...

Re: Around Waynos house

What I saw looked basically like this but a lot blurrier. https://i.postimg.cc/9F7yFxzp/0-B98-FD41-A211-4-C2-F-969-F-2-EF6-E2074920.jpg It was about this color even. Like I said, I don’t have much knowledge about telescopes. My wife does more so but she went to bed early so I just tried it figure it...

Re: Around Waynos house

I got the wife’s telescope out and could see some spots and a bright “white?” band but it as a whole was a little blurry. Her telescope only has 2 lenses for me to choose from and I don’t have much knowledge about telescopes at all.

Re: Around Waynos house

Hey Wayno, I don’t know if you’ll see this in time but tonight, Monday, Jupiter will be the closest to Earth it has been in 59 years. And it’ll be in opposition from the sun. I don’t know how conditions will be up there but it might be something to try to see.

Yeah like 30 years ago. I remember liking the music in it but never really looked into who was on the soundtrack.

Re: Gracie II the D21

Hey Matt, I know you’re pretty good at finding stuff on your own, but I’ve bought stuff for my Hardbodies from this company before and had good luck with them. Although with them being in Pompano Beach, Florida shipping might be more than you’re willing to deal with.

Oh that’s cool as hell. I’ve never seen one of those. I just asked about the Carter Craft because with all the wood they can be a nightmare.

To my redneck eyes I still see some miles on the tire and brakes.

Was it a Carter Craft boat? I’ve always wanted one of those.
