Re: Gray Man, Inc.
Copper is preferred but very expensive. Aluminum is very common for service line from the pole to meter and meter to breaker panel. I made a master map with length and depth measurements. Even if I don't need it, a future owner of the property would certainly appreciate it. Remember 3 weeks ago when...

Re: Gray Man, Inc.
It's funny now but I threw an absolute sailer tantrum when it happened. When I hit it I was imaginig having to replace the entire run of wire. I think it cost about $1100-1200 the first time. I wasn't looking forward to paying that again. Luckily it only cost maybe $20 in materials to fix.

Re: Gray Man, Inc.
 :( Funny you should say that. I snagged my shop power, just enough to make a mess and add extra work. Luckily the only wire that was actually damaged was the neutral. One of the power legs was nicked and severed exactly 1 aluminum strand. The insulation on the ground wire was nicked. I was ab...

Re: Gray Man, Inc.
Dinky house project is winding down. Spent the last week running utilities to it and the bathroom in my shop. I don't enjoy this type of work. https://i.postimg.cc/mgj960XD/20230629-100625.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/fbZPhLrj/20230705-084055.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/k50J5KwG/20230705-084108.jpg https:/...

Re: Gray Man, Inc.
I dragged home my next project yesterday. 2011 Outback Limited (leather, Harman Kardon, etc) with low oil pressure. It runs and drives but clatters. Previous owner was a middle-aged teacher so it's got near perfect interior. Exterior looks pretty good too but it could use a good detail. I'll need to...

Re: Around Waynos house
Yeah, I'm at 2500'. It's probably a number of things. The area I live would be a desert without the irrigation. Also, the spot my garden is has been pasture for the last hundred years. I brought in some goat manure a couple years ago but haven't done much else for ammendment other than till the weed...

Re: Around Waynos house
I'm with you on that. I had raised beds the last 3 years and they were more trouble than they were worth. Everything is in the ground this year. It's a constantly evolving process. You've been at it 25 years and still improving. I'm only 3 years in. I'm impressed with what you do in a suburban back ...

I like that. I'm using cattle panels for my Cucumbers this year for the first time. They're just starting to climb.

Re: Gray Man, Inc.
Here's a little update on my dad's '37 pickup project, even though I haven't done any of the work. He's got the brakes all done. He had the flathead and transmission out and cleaned up the framerails and firewall. Rebuilt the steering box with new gears and bearings too. https://i.postimg.cc/4dRc4R7...

Re: Gray Man, Inc.
I've got the trim work 98% done. The water heater and shower head are installed. It's up to my daughter to finish painting before I can install the vanity and toilet. I'm hoping to get the trenching handled in the next week or two so I can hook it up to power, water, and septic. Also connecting my s...

Re: Gray Man, Inc.
Last weekend I did a 2 day, 2 night shakedown run and camping trip. Started out as 3 of us. https://i.postimg.cc/cJ2vrvKf/20230519-131707.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/FHnRBYVw/20230519-145824.jpg Jerod went down about 50 miles in. Broke his helmet and cracked some ribs. We camped the first night, then r...

Re: Gray Man, Inc.
Admittedly, I've kind of hit the wall on the house build. Almost all the painting is done. The granite and the bathroom closet are done. https://i.postimg.cc/4NmJK8Yj/20230519-105518.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/Fs3Drv9R/Resized-20230523-165359.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/prVKQwwf/20230519-105554.jpg https...

Re: Gray Man, Inc.
Thanks, Tater. My garden is in. I'm experimenting with timed irrigation since I'm on the road quite a bit and nobody else here can be trusted to remember. https://i.postimg.cc/TPp9vtr5/20230527-120128.jpg My fruit trees are looking pretty good and starting to grow fruit. 2 apple varieties, plums, As...

Re: Gray Man, Inc.
I rode 120 miles today. We didn't see another soul after we left the parking lot. Cabins, magic bus, and an accidental run through a barbed wire gate by my old man riding buddy. https://i.postimg.cc/sD3vcZHQ/20230511-103538.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/7P9xqtXh/20230511-120236.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/J...
