The electrical was easy enough, the brake upgrade was a little more serious.
280ZX master, 300ZX front disc, and Trooper rear disc brakes - much better
!

Wheel clearance was the next issue to resolve.
16x8 ralley's with 225/50R16 Goodyears did the trick - now I need to lower it
!

But I got side-tracked ... new motor was needed.
I went with a Holley (backwards Weber) and Offy intake, and a L16 exhaust mani .... just to be different.

Meanwhile, I got an old

Right - the stuff I posted is a recap of the major things I've done, I won't bore you with all the little things
My first attempt at cleaning up my dash pad was "so so" ... I filled the cracks with Shoe Goo then went over the pad with black shoe polish. It still looked ratty, but it was much easier to clean. Anything was an improvement over what I had, and at the time re-covering my bench seat was a priority. As time and the California sun took it's toll on the dash pad - it was clear my repairs were going to need a "freshen up" on a regular schedule - shoe polish wears thin and cracks continued to get wider.
Here's what I'm starting with.
Wish me luck
!

^ I think an 8-track Super Tuner is rare, hand on to that one
!
I may be slow on my progress, but I just keep plugging away. The other night I had a little time, so I took the plunge - I made a "how to" on this, and moved thing there.

I was all set to replace the dash pad when I found a poor little Bluebird, and it was talking to me
... it said "
save me". So my truck will have to wait to get the fresh dash pad. That Bluebird project has been fun, but work got in the way all summer and work is still getting in the way of my Datsun time. We got a pretty good storm blowing through our area yesterday, lots of wind and rain - well, a lot for California.

My truck sits outside, while the Bluebird gets the garage space, and it weathered the storm just fine
...

... because Datsun

I'm glad you still have it. It being outside just adds to the patina. Like me & my cars, I'm sure you'll get around to it. Although it will probably be before me.

^ Yep ... it's a truck - so it only get garage time when I'm working on it, because I don't like working on the ground.
It got some new stickers not too long ago
