Yeah I'm trying to..... Stupid thing is still over heating. Need to come up with some extra cash to put a radiator in it by this weekend. But I don't get payed till the day of leaving for the trip. I don't trust the truck on trails with it running hot like this. *sigh..... I will figure it out. Not missing out on this trip. Lol

PS. It wasn't me that did the hack wiring job
Wiring gets patched correctly. Unless its a stereo install, then don't look under the dash at the spaghetti ball
Good job on the truck dude. I never pulled the air cleaner on the weber!! Re-tune the air/fuel mixture after its hot, and re-time it. Since I didn't know it was out of whack, I tuned it with the choke closed apparently. Probably why it lacked in power, and ate gas like a mother fucker. Good catch!
I tuned the dizzy by ear, then took it for a spin and the pinging was almost gone... so a good tune is in need!! BTW, pull the dizzy cap and remove the white wire unless I did that already. It will make it so both spark plugs fire at the same time instead of only at certain points. It will burn clean across the cylinder that way. Also, these DON'T get timed to 10-12 like an L series, 5 degrees BTDC is tits.

Yeah I have it set up at 5* btdc. I will look into this white wire thing. I know it needs a tune up. It's on the list lol. New plugs, wires, rotor and cap are all in store in the next couple weeks. But on today's list
Picked up a radiator, 180* t-stat and gasket. Yes, yes I know it's not a brass rad. But it will do just fine. Intact it's thicker then the stock brass. If this doesn't get this bitch running at a normal operating temp I will be pissed lol. Only thing left then is to replace the fan it self and find a fan shroud. But it only really ever runs hot on the freeway so the shroud and fan prolly are not the issue. Anyways, I will get that bitch in later today prolly.

A rad doesnt need to be brass. I had a new alum platic one in my sikver st. Thing worked too good lol.

Oh I know this. I have encountered Datsun peeps who shake their head at me and my aluminum core radiators. I think they do fine.
New thing to fix!!!!!!
Upper control arm bushings on the driver side are completely hammered out. Guess it's a good reason to get aftermarket upper arms that provide 3" of lift dang... What a shame...

Got the new tires on also put on what I call "the hobo canopy" pics shortly after I finish clearancing the fenders some. I think the canopy may only be temp. I sort of want to find one that fits a little better. The hobo canopy is a couple inches to long out the back.
