Like I said, if its too big, the lower rad hose will push the alt down, and then the alt and you are danger close to the pitman arm. But you can run a ZX water inlet to cure this.

The 200sx (79 or so) is the only Small Bodied Internally regulated alternator by Nissan/Datsun.

Also, all the L and Z series alts should swap and use the same electrical plugs. And if you change 1 plug you can use KA/SR/CA/VG alts (and maybe change the pulley). My 80amp is actually a CA18DET alternator.

I'm gonna get the 200sx alt and if it doesn't fit I'll go get a ZX inlet from pick n pull..
I'm gonna be working on the 620 all this week, but no build thread of pictures yet. I'm not showing it until it's worthy, so a week or two. There will be before and after pictures though.
Stay tuned :D

Every build thread should start with before pics. No time like the present.

Nissan used to make the adapter changer. From T plug to whatever the KA uses. Tho I just use Male/female spade connectors and two 2" wires so I don't have to cut the original plug.

Maybe it wasn't nissan who made them. I have one stashed away.

I'll have before pictures, just won't show them until the same time I show the after pictures.

Don't fix it if it's not broke, if the 620 alternator is charging, leave it alone.

I believe that Laecaon is talking about the idler arm being in the way, but it seems like the 79 620 shouldn't have that issue.

Man. Some stock gauges would really pimp that thing out. Clock, tach, oil and volt meter. Cheap at any junk yard. Over priced at any classified ad

Id need the center consol if I want the oil&volt gauges for the 720, and people want like 80 bucks for the consol so fuck that.
I'm not sure if I'm trading for that 620 now, I like the 720 so much

Here's too before and after pictures of my truck today, a friend helped me detail it, we waxed and polished it, and some other shit that I don't remember, but I'm so happy with how it turned out, the paint use to be so flat and dull on the bed, looks so much better now.
