Thanks! It's amazing what I'm willing to do when I'm up at 3am and can't sleep vs what I'm willing to do around the 5pm - 10pm timeframe

Ended up wrapping up a decent amount of things on the todo list!
Finally got nuts and bolts in lue studs on the exhaust mani
Got the dizzy cleaned up and vaccumm advance painted
Intermittent wipers got added
Had to rewire the head unit, one of the PO decided electrical tape or a butt conector was all you needed....
I ended up with a removable option and tape in all the right spots
Couple of zip ties and bam!
Should have a charged battery tomorrow and I can test everything b4 pushing the head unit all the way in

While I wait for my battery to show up I figured I'd knock out somethingelse on the list.....
When I first got the truck passenger door never open from the inside and about a week ago the same door decided it wasn't going to stay latched closed anymore. So you go to close the door out of habit, and it slams and bounces back ...
Picked up a new lock mech from teddy
Worked like a charm, stays shut and opens on both sides of the door
Nismodr stopped by to give me a hand the other night and ended up charging my dead battery at his work while changed the carrier bearing!!!

After

Muy Bueno!!
And since I now had a battery it seemed like a good time to test all the upgrades/mods I did!
Everything powered up!
Whoever did the "aftermarket wiring" in this truck previously sucks......
Cus everything did power up, or so I thought :/

No pics for this part but I just spent more hours than id like to admit undoing someone's attempts at bypassing the stock harness for reasons only known to them.....
Had to find out why the wipers diddnt have the intermittant setting, ended up being another harness issue
But after all BS I got back to what I intended to do today
Manifolds are both on!
Well, almost all the way on..... Ended up finding out one of the bolt holes for the manifolds was stripped out(explaines part of the old exhaust leak I guess, I just blamed it on the POS header that was on there and globed in orange RTV)
And since it's 11pm and parts stores are closed I can't get a hell coil till the morning so here I stop for the night :/

Sometimes I wonder how I'm able to talk myself into shit.....
Can't just leave well enough alone
Things escalated, bolts were broken
Did what I could tonight
Gotta make a parts store run to keep going :/

Intake off so I could Helicoil one of the bolt holes. Ended up working out great!
Got called in for dinner and the truck finally seems to have something that resembles an Lmotor!

Supposed to just put a trans in.....
But this weird little half plate had to go....
So I tossed in a rear main seal and Pilot bushing
Put the right plate in

Till then it's just gunna be little things here and there
Flushed the rad

Nanner, teddy, Nelson, and (I believe) nelsons other half came by last Saturday to do some needed parts swapping!
Nanners sweet little basket case!
Nanner got a dash, and teddy picked up my last NOS 620 carrier bearing.
Ohhhh, ahhhhh. Drool.....
But!!
I was able to get some(hard to find and even harder to ship) black 620 door cards and matching hardware delivered so I pulled the trigger so My dad don't have to pay shipping later or the gas Bill to pick em up
Also got a down pipe for the mani I'm running on this truck incase the exhaust shop needs it to tie into the existing exhaust
And the new throttle cable came in

Unfortunately, while the Datsun gang was there I got the call no Datsun person ever wants to get.....
You know.... One of "those" calls, that turns you white as a ghost and lost for words....
The throttle got stuck on the goon and Jessi found the truck Infront of her :/
So instead of playing with new parts and BSing with datsun friends, I took off in a hurry
