#1

Post by Eagle_Adam » Mon Nov 18, 2013 2:06 pm

ive searched and searched and havnt found "enough" answers

i dont really want to run the stock rad in my 620 when my KA swap is done, so im curious if anyone can point me towards aluminum rads that "fits" (bolt in not needed, but would be a bonus) and im also after an electric fan set up but thats another story

There was someone that put a SR in a 620,they used a Griffin rad,I do remember it looking like a real easy install if that helps

A lot of the 620 rads listed on eBay also note fitting a 510.
Is there a size difference at all?

I have seen postings for KA swapped 510 radiators on eBay as well.
Inlet/outlets on the right/correct sides.

^ this the truck radiator is taller by about 2 or so inches, the aluminum radiator i picked up for my 510 was made by griffin it was for some sort of volkswagen and fits the 510 well but would be short in the 620. look at one for a vr6 engine from volkswagens i plan on putting this in my 620 when i swap it, it has the inlet and outlet on the same side. you have to put a T fitting in the hose tho since it doesn't have a cap on the radiator.

I put an aluminum radiator from a Volvo 240DL in my last truck. Fit was nice with no cutting of the core support. Easy enough to make mounts for it too. As soon as Datsunmike finds my old thread at Ratsun, I'll post some pics and more details for you.

It's sitting in the pile of hidden threads. Something about needle and a haystack?

I need to check this rad out. The same company makes a shorty RX7 radiator, which is shorter but wider than the one you got, still 3 row and everything though. I think it might be perfect for the 510... because I dont like the current 510 options...
