The As the two different wheelbase lengths are in the back of the frame, the front driveshafts with the carrier bearing should all be the same length. All bolt to the same place beside the torsion bar mounts. Well I'l write this down and add to my info. if and when let me know if you confirm this measurement.

How I measure them. As you can't measure through the center of the transmission you have to measure along a parallel line outside the case. If hooking your tape measure to the bell it should be held about 9" away from the driveshaft end using a straight edge to measure up to. Measuring from bell directly to the tail will be an incorrect longer slope distance.
My Datsuns, like good friends, have never let me down. At least in any way that was not understandable and thus fixable.
