Shop Waste Oil Furnace SOLD SOLD SOLD

#1

Post by DRIVEN » Tue Nov 29, 2016 2:14 pm

Copied from my CL ad...

140,000 BTU waste oil burning heater. This is currently in my shop, hooked up and working. I bought it from my boss when he upgraded to a new unit at his auto repair shop. I've used it through the last two winters but the truth is, it's just too much for my 30'x36' home shop. It needs to be in a larger or less insulated building. The current version of this sells for over $5K and that doesn't include the tank, plumbing or expensive chimney pipe.

What it requires;
-A 110v outlet to plug it into.
-An air source (shop air / compressor).
-A hole in the roof or wall to pass vent pipe through.

It comes complete with everything else you'll need;
-Lanair HI-140 furnace.
-Upgraded larger (quiet) squirrel cage fan.
-Operator's manual.
-2 cleaned/serviced spare burner assemblies and some misc. small parts.
-18-20' triple wall chimney pipe with cap + some misc piping etc.
-Regulated source air hose.
-200(?) gallon oil tank that's about 2/3 full of mostly ATF.
-Pump/motor with plumbing.
-Basic thermostat and wiring.

If you are a serious buyer, come on by and see and feel it run. Leave me a deposit and give me a couple evenings, preferably a weekend, to get it down and pull the chimney. I want to leave it in place until it's sold.

I could cook my dinner in the garage with that.

It's way overkill for a home shop but made for a couple toasty winters. Unfortunately this is the right time to list it so I'll just bundle up for the next couple months.
I've gotten quite a few interested inquiries but haven't been able to show it yet. Supposed to do it tonight and that guy sounds ready to deal. Also have a couple guys who want to see it this weekend. We'll see if anything pans out.

Took a deposit tonight. Consider it sold.

What lock?

I dont care about locking threads at this point. That may change if this forum starts being more active. But at least here the user can lock their own classifieds post.

He'll come through. He's got a cold, drafty glass shop and when he showed up last night I had been running it for about an hour so my shop was almost 70*. He actually already has an oil burner but it needs $3500 in work not counting install so to him this was an absolute steal.
He left me a serious deposit and is giving me a couple weeks to take it down.

Those are the spare burner assemblies with the preheat block and thermal coupler. I asked and got $1500. From the amount of interest it got maybe I should have asked more :oops: .
