Someone asked me to help them ID their master cylinder. They said it came out of a truck. It's a 3/4" master.

520/521 had throttle cable not linkage. Never seen that style reservoir used back that far... usually just a tube shape. Looks like an L16 motor with the straight out block vent tube. Car I would think so, must be a 510? Can't find a single brake master for them, did they have singles?

Might be a truck master though. Wayno???

Is this in a 510?

Look at the threads.

510-metric.
521-SAE.

It looks to be an auto, as I see no clutch master in that photo, also that firewall mount is definitely not a 521 firewall.

68's up here came single master, pretty sure it was standard issue across the board in 68?

I couldn't be sure. You can see a bolt but might be the block off plate.

The 520/521 residual valve/brake line point straight up coming off the master, and they are SAE, that 4 bolt plate that the master bolts to is not from a 520 or 521, and the 520/521 all had cable throttle linkage like Dmike mentioned.
